Though most of the Amazon Prime Day action goes down over at, well, Amazon, several other major retailers run competing sales and deals. Walmart is arguably the biggest and most important among them.

Walmart’s Deal for Days sale technically runs June 20 to 23 — lasting a day longer than Amazon Prime Day. Historically, Walmart’s competing sale offers up comparable discounts to Amazon Prime Day and matches some of Amazon’s best deals.

Below, you’ll find some of the best early Walmart deals available now. We’ll also answer your questions about the event, including a sneak peek at some of Walmart’s upcoming Amazon Prime Day discounts.

Best Amazon Prime Day 2021 Walmart deals available now

When is Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Amazon announced that Prime Day 2021 will take place June 21 and 22. Last year, the event was held in mid-October, after much delay due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Will Walmart hold a sale during Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Walmart announced that it will be holding its own ‘Deals for Days’ event from June 20 to 23, an entire day before and outlasting Amazon Prime Day 2021.

If this sounds familiar, Walmart did the same thing last year. Walmart’s Big Save Event in 2021 was on October 13 through 15 — a full day longer than Prime Day. The event was chock-full of deals around the clock, with many going out of stock well before the sale came to a close.

Are Walmart Prime Day deals worth buying?

If past sales are any indicator, many of Walmart’s Prime Day deals are worth buying — especially if they’re ones we highlight. They tend to compete with low prices we see from Amazon during the event, sometimes even marking the best prices we’ve seen for certain products.

What deals should I expect from Walmart during Prime Day 2021?

Along with announcing the date for Walmart’s Deals for Days event, Walmart provided a sneak peek at some deals you can expect from the event.

In addition to these, we expect Walmart’s Amazon Prime Day sale will feature many of the same product categories it has in the past: entertainment, tech, kitchen appliances, robot vacuums, upright vacuums, and video games

For Walmart’s Big Save Event 2020, we saw tons of great deals including $100 off the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, $100 off an Echelon with a 6-month subscription, and $20 off Super Mario Party for Nintendo Switch. Instant Pot, Samsung, Roku, Google Nest, Keurig, and Bissel are just some of the brands we saw discounted during the sale as well.

How will Walmart Plus membership play into Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Though Walmart hasn’t mentioned what event-specific perks they’ll get during ‘Deals for Days’, Walmart Plus members will get to reap the benefits they do year-round when shopping the sale. That includes free same-day delivery, two-day shipping, next-day shipping, and the newly-added Rx for less.

If you’re interested in sampling the membership, you can try it out for 15 days, free. If you sign up now, you’ll be covered during the ‘Deals for Days’ event on June 20.

The first major benefit to shopping from Walmart during Prime Day is accessibility: You usually don’t need a membership to get the deals. If you do happen to be a member of Walmart Plus, you can cash in on free two-day shipping for any of your orders.

Walmart also offers physical locations from which you can pick up your order in-store if you’re in a rush — a major advantage over Amazon.

Who should shop from Walmart during Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Since the sale is open to everyone, non-Prime members are great candidates for shopping Walmart’s upcoming Prime Day 2021 sale. In-store pickup also makes it a great opportunity for anyone in a rush to get their order.

Amazon Prime Day, on the other hand, is a Prime-member exclusive—it’s one of the biggest selling points for a membership if you’re a deals-minded shopper. Prime membership comes with a ton of other great benefits and is free to try for 30 days if you’re tempted.
