Amazon Prime Day, the retail giant’s annual sales event, lands this month — but it won’t be alone. Amazon will be competing against sales from several other retailers, including Target

The ‘Target Deal Days’ event kicks off June 20 and ends June 22. That’s a day before Amazon Prime Day and a day shorter than Walmart’s ‘Deals for Days’ event.

From what we saw last year, we expect tons of great deals on pretty much everything, from smart home speakers to air fryers. So whether you’re shopping for the latest tech or want to save on essentials, you can find bargains during Deal Days.

We’ll answer some frequently asked questions below and highlight some of the best deals you can shop from Target ahead of June 20.

The best early Target Prime Day deals

Typically selling for $200 across online retailers, this drop to $170 from Target is a worthwhile deal on a versatile vacuum. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe features a detachable pod for cleaning surfaces other than your floor; it also includes a HEPA filter for allergens and swivel steering for easy maneuverability.

Though it’s typically listed at a higher MSRP, the Deebot usually sells for $180 across online retailers. Nevertheless, this drop to $150 is a great low price for this smart assistant-compatible, multisurface robot vacuum.

When is Target’s competing Amazon Prime Day 2021 sale?

The Target ‘Deal Days’ event kicks off June 20 and ends June 22.

For some perspective, Amazon Prime Day 2021 will run from June 21-22, Best Buy’s ‘Bigger Deal Savings Event’ runs from June 15 to 22, and Walmart’s competing sale, ‘Deals for Days,’ will last from June 20 to 23.

What deals will Target have during Amazon Prime Day?

Target’s competing Prime Day sale features solid deals on a ton of product categories every year, including gaming, smart home, audio, personal care, robot vacuums, upright vacuums, and more.

Last year, Target’s Deal Days brought deep discounts on brands like JBL, Instant Pot, Nintendo, Braun, and Shark. Some of the best deals were $20 off the Revlon One-Step, $50 off the iRobot Roomba 695, and $150 off the Dyson V8 Motorhead.

The main draw for shopping at Target during Prime Day is that the deals are accessible to everyone, not just Prime members. Prime Day is one of many benefits to being an Amazon Prime member, meaning that those without a membership are out of luck. Shopping Target’s Prime Day deals are also a good idea if you’re in a rush to get your order since in-store pickup is often available for many items.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2021?

Amazon Prime Day 2021 will run from June 21-22.

In past years, Target offered no exclusive deals or promotions for RedCard holders. While it remains to be seen if that trend continues, the chances of additional promotions are slim.

Regardless, Target RedCard holders will enjoy the same benefits during the competing sale they enjoy year-round, including free shipping with no order minimums and an extra 5% off at checkout.

Will the Target Circle program offer exclusive deals during Target’s competing sale?

Target Circle, the namesake’s rewards program, will likely be full of coupons and offers for the taking during Target’s competing Amazon Prime Day 2021. It’s free to join and unlocks discounts for Target shoppers, year-round.

Can anyone shop from Target’s competing Amazon Prime Day deals?

Unlike Amazon Prime Day, which is famously an exclusive event for Amazon Prime subscribers, anyone can take advantage of Target’s competing sale.

From what we’ve seen in the past, Target tends to price match many of Amazon’s doorbuster-style offers. Of course, Target can’t replicate the breadth of Amazon’s deal number, but it’s a worthy alternative for those who don’t want to pay for an Amazon Prime subscription.

If you have yet to become an Amazon Prime member, it’s free to try it out. The 30-day trial also grants you access to Prime Day.

How do I prepare for Target’s sale?

The best way to get the best prices is to download the Target App and enroll in the company’s free loyalty program, Target Circle to reap extra discounts. Having these handy will not only save you money during Target’s Prime Day sale but also year-round.

Starting June 16-19, you can pick up a digital Target GiftCard for 5% off at Target.com. While that may seem like a paltry discount (because it is,) it’s best to think of it like deal sprinkles on an already-great savings sundae. It’s an excellent opportunity to save a little bit more money, if you plan on shopping the Target’s ‘Deal Days’ event.
