One of the top winners at the 2021 Golden Globes was “Nomadland.” And, while the film has already taken home several awards, it’s not done just yet. The movie is also up for six Oscars at the 2021 Academy Awards, including best picture, best director (Chloé Zhao), and best actress in a leading role (Frances McDormand).

“Nomadland” is directed by Chloé Zhao, who won best director at the Golden Globes. Zhao’s win made her the first person of Asian descent to take home the honor of best director and the second woman to ever win the award. Her next film will be Marvel’s highly anticipated superhero movie “Eternals” starring Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, and Salma Hayek.
